These awards are presented to the cow, or cows, with the top lifetime milk, fat and protein production. The cow must have been on DHI test at least one month in the award year. Records and placings will be determined by the official records of DHIA. Due March 1, 2022.
Youth Award Applications:
The Calf Scholarship Award Program is sponsored by the New York State Guernsey Breeders Association for the purpose of encouraging those who do not presently own Guernseys to become involved with the Guernsey Breed. A purebred Guernsey Calf will be awarded to the applicant who shows interest in the Guernsey breed and who has demonstrated the capabilities of developing the animal to its fullest potential. Applicant must be age 9 – 15 as of January 1 st of application year . You do not have to belong to 4 – H, FFA, or a breed club to participate. Due March 1, 2022.
The New York Guernsey Youth Achievement Award honors youth members who have excelled in both Guernsey activities as well as their personal lives. Each year, over 20 members record their herd information, highlights of their education, leadership positions and then answer questions based on their dairy project. Out of all the applicants, one outstanding candidate is selected as the Achievement Award Winner each year. Due March 1, 2022.

The New York Guernsey Princess represents New York Guernsey breeders at a variety of functions and events. Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 21 by January 1st of the year they run and are required to attend the New York State Fair, Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet and represent New York at the National Guernsey Convention in June. Due April 1, 2022.
